Hello. I have such problem with Magix Vegas Pro 16. It comes during the program start when Vegas splash screen stops during "Creating Windows". Maybe someone could help me?

Thanks in advance :)

P.S. If it`s needed: my operation system is Windows 10 64 bit. If any other information is needed, please ask (cause I don`t know what can be needed to understand this problem).

@ilona-k : That Fault Module Line indicates to me that you are having an issue as Vegas attempts to make a connection to some Audio Device or you’ve got some Audio SFX that requires the use of ASIO Drivers. Are you using an external Sound Card that requires ASIO Drivers? I have an external PreSonus AudioBox that requires ASIO Drivers. The Box is connected via USB. Sometimes I’ve needed to unplug the device and reconnect. I’d check that my ASIO Drivers are up to date.

Thank you for your answer :) But, surprisingly, I don`t have any external sound card. Actually don`t know what requires these ASIO drivers.

Ah, well, that’s a clue 😃 !

Do you have the latest Build of VP16? If so, uninstall and reinstall VP. Reboot PC. Try again. If FAIL, do the Factory Reset procedure.

My thoughts are that the pre-install scan has got its ASIO request confused.

@ilona-k : Build261 is the latest Build. Yours isn’t. You’ve got Build248. 😉

Yes, already done it, but the problem still remains - all the same.

Also, maybe this info will be helpful to understand what is wrong (I`ll attach my device manager audio drivers screenshot)

Forget external device. Start examining your audio card and devices. Here’s a potential useful link in assisting tracking down ASIO issues: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/asio-driver-support-in-windows-10/dff0530a-545e-436a-808e-5c0669829fa0?auth=1

I`ve done twice cash clean, after a second one - Vegas Pro start working. Next, updated my audio driver.
I think that cash cleaning helped me. For now I don`t have any problems with Vegas Pro, but I`ll still try to figure out with this ASIO.

Thank you for the link and help ;)

I suspect it is a Quicktime issue, and I have having the same problem. ( Addendum: with just certain QT files,as it turns out,)

Short term fix, uninstall QT and those .mov will just not be loaded into Vegas, you'll get a screen to skip those (Addendum 2: if that is the problem, maybe not), and probably no crash;

You don't need ASIO, (I don't think so, anyway) that is more card specific for externals, your Realtch is perfect for your onboard audio playback and record. But, here is another side of that opinion, so, this might work better than what I just suggested.... Can't hurt to try: https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=7281254
