Main Concept plugin issues

Hello,

When using the Main Concept plugin in Vegas to make MP4s, Media Info shows that Vegas is creating 5 reference frames for every video - even when 1, 2, etc., are put into that box. Also, any attempt to create a new constant bit rate for custom presets seems to be ignored. Neither issue seems to exist with the Sony version of MP4. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Just a silly question -- which version of Vegas are you using?

Unable to duplicate either of your issues on 8.0c

I am using 9.0e. And have tested this issue on 2 computers of mine and one of a friend's. I am able to save custom settings for a variable bit rate encode with the Main Concept plugin, but not for a constant one. Even trying to save the custom preset several times, it always defaults down to one of already listed bit rates - and always get 5 reference frames, even when asking for 1, 2, 3, etc., when checking with the Media Info software. 9.0e is the only version I have used. Am worried about compatibility with iPods, etc., with the 5 reference frames.

"Also, any attempt to create a new constant bit rate for custom presets seems to be ignored"Actually, it's not ignored - it just seems to be ignored, resetting the display to 192,000 if a value is selected that is not in the dropdown list.

I reported this bug twice to SCS and they seem to be ignoring my submissions. see:

Thanks for letting me know that I am not alone in dealing with this. Apparently it worked fine in earlier versions of Vegas, but has not since at least 9.0c?
