Main Conept MPEG plugin do not allow creation of custom templates in Vegas 4.0

I am new to Vegas Video 4.0 and noticed, that it does not allow me to create custom templates for the Main Concept MPEG encoders.

I went back to the knowledge base, where I found out, that unlike older versions of VV the new 4.0 has the professional encoder enclosed for free. Why is it then, that I still can't use it.

Anybody got an idea?

Two threads describing the same problem posted 15 minutes apart where you clearly know that the first thread posted since you replied to a reply to your first one AND the complaint that you have is incorrect (or at least overly broad)

I can create custom templates in Vegas 4.0 for the Main Concept Plugin..I've done it several times and just did it again to prove to myself it works.

So, if it is even broken it is not a problem for all Vegas 4.0 users (I won't go so far as to say it us just you since I can't try everyone elses....)

Jeff, this is Jim not Zippy, and I have no idea, what you are rambling about. I asked this question last month, got a useless answer, so I refreshed the thread and posted it again as a new one. Josh answered to both with the same advice (from an earlier thread he participated in) and it works like a charm.

Seems a.) I am not the only one with that problem and b.) Josh knows a practical workaround.
