I am generating a slide show and when I render to an SVCD format the output file is very jittery. This is true while viewing using the windows player as well as playing on my DVD player. Has anybody seen this problem and can help.
Old news. The problem is you are probably rendering from one compressed format (JPG ?) to another (MPEG) and that can, sometimes introduce jitter, jumps and other problems. One work around is render to AVI then use another application like TMPGEnc to render that file to VCD, XVCD or SVCD. The same thing happened to me repeatedly with the old Ligos MPEG encoder. I suspect it may be something in the VF engine since I can't duplicate it in other video editors.
Thanks. The Ligos encoder does not have this problem. I used the same source files comparing the Ligos and MainConcept encoders and this seems to be unique to the MainConcept encoder. Sonicfoundry, please fix this problem!
