MAJOR Capturing Issue

Hey, I'm running Vegas 7.0 and just about every other clip I capture it either freezes or says it's still capturing when it isn't (but I can't stop it). Has anyone else had this problem and/or someone have some suggestions/answers?

First step, check under under Task Manager to see how many instances of VidCap and/or Vegas you have running.

After I started using Scenalyzer, I never went back to Vid Cap. Works GREAT!

My guess is that there are timecode breaks. I get this from time to time and I suspect it's at points where the footage was checked during the shoot day.

Try turning off scene detection and capturing all the way through. If that works then you can either live with it (regions become your new friend) or fiddle with capture settings.

Or use scenalyzer, of course.
