Major choppiness in AVI output files after update

I've seen only one other post but here is the problem:
Running VF1 just fine and thought it might be worth it to update the software. (DirectX 8 with DV update done prior to updates).
Loaded and installed all the new VF1 updates, and now all my rendered AVI files that I want to stream to tape are choppy both video and audio. It appears the AVI codec has changed and is really choking when being rendered. Oddly, all the captured AVI's are totally fine. Did a total uninstall/reinstall with the older versions but to no avail.

Anyone else seen this yet. I only discovered it several weeks after doing the patches because MPEG's render fine still so didn't know it was a problem. Really a bummer to update then basically loose the functionality of the program.

Are you seeing AVI created in Video Factory produce a few seconds of good video, then a second or two of jumpy video, then more good, followed by more jumpy frames over and over through out the whole render? If so, me too. So bad I'm forced to use another video editor to convert my MPG source files to AVI. Then VF handles them fine on any re rendering. This was NOT a problem in earlier builds of VF1. Not is seems to show up in all builds of VF2.

In my never humble opinion Video Factory is weakest in codec support. Really needs to be addressed now. Not in some future release. I'm getting tired of all the multiple processing and being forced to use competing products for what VF should handle itself without problems.

I think VF 2's AVI support is just fine.

Its MPEG support decent although,
(1) The separate MPEG plugin registration is odd.
(2) It would be nice to see support for saving I-frame only MPEG in order to avoid some of the "frame transcode" errors as well as the ability to set keyframe intervals.
(3) It would also be nice to have a SVCD template to go along with the ability to burn SVCD's.

It's Quicktime support is inadequate. There is lots of extra codecs available for Quicktime - it would be nice to have more than just the templates.

As far as the choppiness is concerned, I would email SF support and see what they recommend.
