Major Issues with New Blue Titler Pro 7

robertOZ wrote on 1/16/2020, 6:40 PM

For some reason I am unable to have installed, New Blue Titler Pro 7 in Movie Studio 16 Platinum (build 175 laptop, build 167 desktop) if installed, when MS16 is launched, the MS16 splash screen opens, then the standalone NBTP7 opens as well whilst MS16 is trying to launch, result MS16 freezes and needs closing with Task Manager.

This happens on the Win7 desktop AND the Win 10 laptop, so they only way I can launch MS16 is to uninstall NBTP7

I did try disabling the NBTP7, but still would not launch on either computer

Ideas anybody, on how to rectify the problem

Have identified the problem, however not sure how to fix it

As well as MS16, I also have installed Corel Video Studio 2019, which has New Blue Titler Pro 5 installed.

There would appear to be a conflict between NBTP7 and NBTP5, so can only have one version installed. It seems that both versions are located in C:/ProgamFiles/NewBlueFX/Titler and /Titler Content and it is impossible to identify which is which, so they must both be using some common files.

By deleting NBTP5, MS16 can now be correctly launched, with NBTP7 now available within the program, but of course, no longer have NBTP5 available in Corel

Hello Robert,

Thank you for contacting NewBlue. I sincerely apologize, as you figured out yourself it is not possible to have two separate versions of Titler Pro on the same computer. Unfortunately there isn't a workaround for this that I know of.

Just to make sure, is Movie Studio 16 working when you have just Titler Pro 7 Express installed?
