Major recording bug - Win2K System Freeze

bgc wrote on 2/15/2002, 9:09 PM
I've started demoing VV3.0 and have been having it freeze and actually hang Win2K
when I stop recording into a track.

That's quite a bug to kill Win2K.

When I try to kill VV after a few times Win2K says that it can't kill the program
and that if I'm debugging it (!?) I need to stop the debugger.

I have a dual PIII 500 MHz system with Win2K
Card Deluxe from DAL
I've got the newest drivers and firmware from the Card Deluxe.

Any thoughts? VV3.0 is unusable for me if this keeps up.
VA2.0 is rock solid.

Help!

Brett

Hi Brett
Im sorry you are having problems with Vegas But I've been using it on Win2k with MOTU and Darla 20 with no problems. Do you get any error messages?

Win2k...DX 8.1...Layla 20bit...Vegas Video 3...everything is fine here. Maybe its time for a fresh install of your system? Do you have the latest drivers for all your computer components? Do you have anything else installed on your computer that is running in the background? I have a partition for my audio/video stuff. I only add programs that are necessary to get the job done and thats it. Later.

I had a lot of stability problems, then increased the core voltage of my CPU in the motherboard BIOS - and the system stabilised. Seems Vegas 3 pushes the CPU very hard. Vegas 2 was stable before increasing voltage... strange eh?!

Hi Webpuppy
What CPU are you using?
Thanks for the info, George Ware
