Make audio CD off MS ??

I have a video project where I did extensive adjustment on the audio using clues from the video. I would like to produce an audio CD of this modified audio track for a special purpose. I know I can render the project back to DV tape and then just feed the audio in to Windows Media Player and go from there, but there must be a more direct way. I do have an .avi file of the whole production, but don't know how to strip the audio from that, either. Any suggestions to the way to go to accomplish my goal?

I think your best bet would be to go back to the original project and re-render as a .wav file. Alternatively, if your avi already has uncompressed audio, you could use Virtualdub to extract it.

Is Virtualdub a download?

Also, how do I render as a .wav file? That option isn't in Make Movie or in tools - re-render.

To create a .wav file: When you do a Make Movie, choose save to disk. Click on advanced render, then pick .wav from the format choice drop down box.
