Make DVD Dialog Box (Prepare)

OK, I'm a newbie. That being said, I've read postings on my problem, read the documentation, but can't figure out how to work through my problem.
In DVDA, I'm trying to do a Prepare of an mpeg2 video (same thing happens with an .avi) before burning, but I get "The estimated total size of all menus is greater than the maximum of 1 GB" error. The video is just a volleyball game, no titles, menus or fancy stuff. Just the match. How do I rectify this error so I can burn the DVD? Optimize tells me I'll only be using 50% of the 4.7 GB DVD. I've burned a number of DVD's in the past, but this is the first time I've hit this problem. Thanks for your help in advance!

What you've most likely done is set the video as the background video for a menu.

Start with a new project, then using the DVDA explorer window, locate the MPEG file and drag it onto the menu page. This should cause a thumbnail of your movie to be placed on the menu page.

Alternatively, on the File pulldown, select New... and specify a single file movie (if you don't need a menu), then using the file browse dialog locate the mpeg and you should be good to go.
