Make DVD Procedure?

I use Vegas+DVD but have a friend who bought Screenblast on my recomondation. He's having trouble figuring out how to go from a Screenblast project to a burned DVD.

He says that the only option he has when he selcts the make DVD option is to make an AVI file. I don't have access to the program so I can't look around for the correct procedure.

Could someone summarize the procedure that he'll need to use to go from project to DVD?

Thanks...

When you click on "Make Movie", "Burn to DVD" on MS it wants to burn as an AVI file but if you select copy to hard drive it give options as to file format. At that point you can render to MPEG file then open the MPEG with MyDVD by selecting "get video" in MyDVD (that comes with MS) and burn the MPEG to DVD. This is the method that has worked for me though I realize it is rather cumbersome.

What, if any, advantage is there to rendering it MPEG first and then opening that MPEG with MyDVD versus just using "burn to dvd" using the AVI?? (newbie question here!)

mpeg uses a lot less disk space than avi and if you're just going to create a dvd anyway, what's the point of creating an avi first, passing that to mydvd, which then mpeg encodes it. seems like two steps when only one is necessary and doubles the disk space requirement.

Thanks for the info. I've pasted it along to my friend.
