You can only print to tape using an .avi file rendered with the standard DV template. You can't print .wmv files to tape.

just wondering is there a way to convert wmv to avi easey?

You could load the .wmv file onto the timeline (i think 2.0c supports this, but i'm not sure) and then render it to DV .avi. however, the quality would probably be lousy. You'd be better off loading your project and rendering from there.

That does not work. I will start all over and render to DV.Thank you again for time and help.

Sarasdad,
One other thing...you can print to tape without the camera hooked up and print it out later. Why use PTT when you can just output the file to .avi? Because, for those shows longer than 20 minutes, PTT will automatically split the files bigger than 4GB and chain them together automatically. When the Vidcap finishes rendering, it will say it can't find the camera. Hit save and then exit the Vidcap. When you are ready to print the production to tape, hook up the camera, turn it on, select the PTT option and then click on from file. Select the first file in the chain and off it goes. I just finished a 36 minute project that I used PTT to print to disk with and this feature works wonderfully. No breaks between files during record. Hope this helps.
