I am using Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8 to capture from DV tape, edit and write back to DV tape. The date/timestamp of the original recording shows up fine in the detailed Project Media tab, e.g. 23-May-2006 10:26. However when I do Make Movie, Save it to your DV camera, the date/timestamp gets written to tape as the current date and time.

When I used Pinnacle Studio 9, any footage that did not have any transitions or effects was copied directly back to tape with the original date/timecode intact.

I use DV tape for archiving my work and would like to keep the original shooting date and time subcode in the finished project as much as possible.

I have set my project format to match the format of my input files.
