I mentioned in an earlier post that the Shockwave files I produced with MS3 would freeze up any machine I tried to play them on.

Has anyone made a SUCCESFUL SWF?

(Note that I haven't tried it since the latest bug fix, but I'm assuming that it was not one of the issues the fix addressed.)

If I make the movie and choose the HTML option, it will play via the html page it generates, however just opening the swf file, it will not.

Non-MS generate swfs play fine this way however.

I am on 3.0a

No success with SWF's on the few times I tried... I have not had a huge need for them, so I have not dug deeper. I always assumed it was something I was doing wrong, but perhaps there is more to it than that.

This might help... I have not updated my player yet... but this is from the kbase:

SWF support in Screenblast Movie Studio 3.0.

Question
I made a SWF file in Movie Studio, but it will not play back properly in my Flash player.

Answer
The SWF files that are made with Screenblast Movie Studio 3.0 can only be played back in Flash 6 or 7 players, due to the newer MX video technology that the files use.

I upgraded to the latest flash player, and it did not make a difference... but, perhaps I need to give it another try.

i got it working. had to update flash player

if you dont have the standalone player for wsf playing outside the browser, you can get it at http://www.flashpulse.com/koolmoves/SAFlashPlayer.zip

otherwise, you need to update the browser plugin and open the swf using your browser.
