Has anyone used VV3 to burn a audio CD yet? I have burned 4 or 5 coasters so far. During the burn I get an error that says:
"An error occurred a data from a file on the system.
Make sure that you have access to all data files needed to write this disc

Has anyone used VV3 to burn a audio CD yet? I have burned 4 or 5 coasters so far. During the burn I get an error that says:
"An error occurred a data from a file on the system.
Make sure that you have access to all data files needed to write this disc."
Then it gives these details:
"'atapi'-(1)
-'PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-103 1.55'-(1)
Module atapimmc.cpp Line 1462
I am using a Pioneer DVR-A03 to burn the CD.
I can use another program with the same songs and it works. I am laying out the audio CD tracks to the timeline and all looks OK. I go to "Burn CD" then "Disk-at-once-audio-CD" It burns for a while then comes back with the error above.
You probably want to contact tech support with this info and see what they have to say. From what I understand is VV3 is using MMC compatible device drivers to do the disk-at-once burning option. I made a post in the beta user forum pre-release, and asked SF if this means if your burner is not MMC compatible then you won't be able to burn a disk? I never got a reply on this post, but I'm guessing this may be the issue you're having. Check in your documentation and see if your burner is MMC compatible. I'm not certain on any of this info, but it's a possibilty.
I've experienced the same problem with VV3. I'm not sure as to what the technical cause is for the error, but I have a work-around that may help you (works for me, anyway):
1. Open your project.
2. Lay out the CD (Tools, Lay Out Audio CD).
3. Open the DAO dialogue box (Tools, Burn CD, Disc-at-Once)
4. Select your method (Burn, Test & Burn, etc.).
5. Check the box to "Prerender to temporary file".
6. Hit "OK".
That's it. I haven't asked anyone else to try this, so I don't know if it's a system specific thing, or if it will work for other folks. Either way, prerendering to an image file seems to be the only way to get it to burn a CD without giving the error you quoted. Give it a shot and see if it works for you. Keep us updated.
Thanks for your suggestions. I did try the pre-render, I'm pretty sure, but I will try it again. If I still can't get it to work and if SF doesn't respond to this post, I will send SF an email.
Thanks again,
Thanks for the suggestion. I did actually lower the burn rate some, but it even fails if I do the test first before it even starts the real burn.
SF support emailed me and wanted my .veg file to run some test. I didn't even have to email them, those guys/gals are great! I'm sure I will hear back from them when they come up with something. Thanks to everyone else who also responded. This forum has a great bunch of people.
