Making an enhanced cd help.

I need to have a cdr play in regular cd players and then put it in computers to watch mpg1 videos and links as well as play the same songs on the audio side of the disc.
I have been going through a nightmare trying this. I use MultiMedia bUilder for the creating of the menu and autorun, links to video, etc. All works well on computer. Then I burn with Nero 6 and then I can never get a good one that works on all players.
Can someone who has made an autorun enhanced cd-r let me know how it works step by step for you.
Thank you for any help here.
I need it.

There is a ton of information in a forum called VIDEOHELP over at http://www.videohelp.com/ While they seem to focus more on freeware, there is lots of very helpful advice and tutorials, etc..

I haven't visited for over a year, but I seem to remember they had several step by step how-to on what you're looking for.

As as using Vegas for MPEG-1, that's one thing it doesn't do that well. You may be better of with TEMPGnc which has a huge following at the site I mentioned Vegas is geared more towards digital which MPEG-1 and VCD's surely isn't.

Also be sure to check out their huge DVD player compalibity list that ranks hundreds of DVD set tops, what they do and what they stumble on. The problem with Nero is it can make non standard CD's and DVD's which may be your problem or you could be using too high a bitrate.

BillyBoy,

You wrote "The problem with Nero is it can make non standard CD's and DVD's...". I'm not aware of the issues you refer to. Since I use Nero from time to time, please elaborate on this. It may explain some problems I've encountered in the past.

Thanks.
