Making FX retain REAL TIME adjusts?

OK, I'm adjusting the Spotlight position within Bump Map.

As I have Bump Map on the Track Header when I ROLL the video and MOVE the Spotlight position while playing, Keyframes get being drawn in "realtime". This is a very VERY good and COOL thing!

But IF I DON'T hold the last position of the SPOTLIGHT, and take my finger OFF the mouse, it will drift back to a "default" position.

It is real nice to have the ability for the KFs to appear while moving in realtime, but I would like them to HOLD the last position UNTIL I decide to move it again. Do you see?

I see but maybe the problem is the CPU running out of cycles. Try dropping the quality of the preview and see if that helps.

Been this way for as long as I can remember. Two hitches: a) you have to apply the FX at the track level, not at the project or event level; and b) you need to enable Sync Cursor in the FX dialog.

That's correct Rob. But as SOON as I let go, the levels revert to a default level that I have moved away from? Seems odd that one can DO real-time but CAN'T fix the last point of activity. In my way of thinking this is contra to the creative options of having it in the first place?

Maybe not thinking too clearly at the moment, but is it possible that Vegas is assuming a default keyframe at the end while this is happening? Perhaps after you're done with your adjustments you can find the last keyframe that you created, copy it, and then paste it at the end.

Seems kinda manual and kludgy, but it might do for now, at least to keep you going.

track level u say...
well ive noticed the KF timeline pop into place when track fx are routed, but this again defeats the purpose as even thou it reverts back to default, the filter is still runnig..

if only it was an option on the clip level..
and why the hell didn t sony mentiont his when i bought and continued to brign this up for a bloody long time.. ?
