Making Question

I was creating a mask for a photo. I accidentally created one trace line for one area and didn't connect it to the end of the other line in the mask. Now I have two mask lines, but they're not connected to create a full mask. Is there a way to connect nodes after the fact - weld them together? I really would rather not re-create the mask from near scratch again ( I could use one of the line segments as a starting point...)
Thanks much!

Assuming Photoshop, either CTRL or ALT ( in conjunction with more selecting) will either add or subtract from the selection.

My apologies: I'm using the Masking Tool in Vegas. I have two strings of Bezier's that I want to stitch together.
Thanks again.

i hate to say it - but not that I know of - that would REALLY be a very good addition too. - sorry man, but you can go back and select the one that has the most work done and start from the last point that you had connected to that string.

Been there man - Sorry again.

That's the plan. Thanks Dave.
Man... I feel like you took it personally. :-)
No worries. My fault.
Thanks for the confirmation, though! Much appreciated.

Can you render them and then mask out the missing part?

"Can you render them and then mask out the missing part?"

I'm not sure I understand. I'm "The Kid Stays In The Picture"ing. I'm cutting out various characters from a series of pictures and putting a glow around them and giving them a slight movement. That's why I needed to mask certain parts of a photo.

I've tried doing this the way you are in Vegas but trust me when I say It would be a whole lot easier to do in Photoshop.
Save the cutout as a separate item, put it on a separate track in Vegas and use Track Motion to add the glow. Or, better yet, add the glow in Photoshop where, once again, you have a lot more control and glow options.

Yes there is, I have done this myself though the EXACT steps I'm not certain of. Basically, first make sure no points are selected (right-click / deselect all) then select a point you want to connect FROM. Now using the Add Point tool (if that's what the + one is called), hover over the point you want to connect TO on the other mask and left-click (may require SHFT or CTRL, I don't recall). Vegas is smart enough to know you are connecting and not just creating another floating point in space.... as long as you're aim is good. You can use zoom to help your aim if need be.

If these steps don't work then experiment a little with these basics because I know I had to do it myself and some variation of this does work.
