Making Video from multiple jpg's

Does anyone know of a script or want to write a script that will render a series of jpg's into a video? I have tried unsuccessfully to do so. I am still learning. I want to render the images as they appear alphabetically. That is, image1.jpg comes first, then image2.jpg, etc. Being able to hold an image for x number os frames would be nice also.

I was able to load the jpgs into the mediapool, but could not get the script to construct a track with them. Even a snippet of code to get me going would be appreciated.

Just drag them to the timeline and they will be set for the length of time specified in Options - Preferences. Optionally, you can also have them overlap automatically creating dissolves.

Yup, this script is amazing. Used it several times - amazingly easy .. even I could use it.
