Many Clips To Beat - Workflow suggestions please?

Okay - New Workflow suggestions please!

I'm doing a bit of editing where I've got quite a nice piece of "upbeat" "up-tempo" type of music. I've got my Markers in place nicely, on the best, and I want to arrange clips - 1 to 3 secs long - at the "M" points - yes? Now then, what's the easy approach? - I realise that this is going to be a long process - edit, collect fragments, place and hold etc etc - what are your best ways of doing this? Are there some shortcuts I can take. We've been here before - I know - but maybe, just maybe with V4 there is a more efficient way of doing this.

Grazie

ps - I didn't do the 10k Forum Post - but got the 10600th - YEAH!

Been thinking about your problem and have an interesting "workaround" that some scripting genius can add to.
Here's the way I'd proceed...
1. Open clip in Trimmer and find the "In" frame that you like... type i to mark an in.
2. Type CTRL G (Goto) and whatever time comes up, add 10 frames. Now this process is intended to be a "no brainer" and doesn't need to be exact. In my little experiment, all I did was add 1 to the second digit (HuH??). If it came up at 00:00:01:13 I just changed the second (to last) digit to a 2, making it 00:00:01:23.
The idea is to NOT think about the math. It really doesn't matter, as long as the clip stays pretty short.
3. Type o to mark the out of your region.
4. Drag selection to timeline, to your next marker.
Now you will have a bunch of 10 frames selections on the beat.
Look at what you've got and extend the clips to fill in the time allocated.
You could use an outside Macro program to do most(or some) of this (I use QuickKeys), or as I said, some scripting genius should be able to automate all of the above.
What do you think?

Grazie there is an easy way do a region of the are you want some video to go, but the video in the trimmer, hit the "A" and your video goes into the highlight region on the story board
