many plugins not working in Vegas

I just bought Vegas 3 (and got the 3.0c) for mastering and that was really a good buy.
Most of the plug-in I need for mastering (PSP Vintage Warmer, Ultrafunk and Sofo plugs) work.
But at first there is a display bug with PSP Vintage Warmer !
The author told me that is very likely linked to Vegas 3 ("It looks like the Vegas have problems giving idles properly to the plug-in") since it works under all other DX apps.
Then there are many plug-ins that I cannot insert in my tracks !
Like all the CakewalkFx plugs (bundled with Sonar 2) and all my VST plug-ins that I use through the fxpansion VST/DX adapter.
All these plug-in work in Sound Forge 6 in single plug-in mode but it is impossible to insert them into the plug-in chainer too :(

Has anyone else experienced such problems ?

Cakes Fx plugins(the 5 that come with SONAR and are DX8 automatable)cannot be used outside of SONAR. This is because those plugins were developed exclusively for use in SONAR and licensed to Cakewalk by a third party, Power Technologies. The same compaany that sells its own line of DSP FX:
http://www.dspfx.com/VirtualPack/html/effects.html

I guess they did not want the Fx plugs they developed exclusively for SONAR, based on their DSP technology, to compete with their own line of effects in the marketplace.

No I think this is a bug in the plug-in chain because all the plug-ins (even the Cakes Fx !!) work all fine in Sound Forge 6 outside the plug-in chain !!!!

Angus from FxPansion suggested that this may be due to some DirectShow interfaces that could break some "weaker" plug-ins. I would bet that it is the problem because there are many plug-ins that refuse to be inserted in the plug-in chain and that work flawlessly outside the chain !

Which VST/DX converter are you using? I can use VST plugs in the chain, so long as the adapter is running first.

Ok I figured it out. The "Add" button in the plug-in chain doesn't want to add my VST plugins that are here through the fxpansion VST/DX adapter.
But the VST/DX adapter works fine if I drop the plugs from the plug-in window !
