You can split at most any forward speed, reverse no worky so good... but hey, splitting while playing... yessssssssssss.

Followup:

You can split on the reverse-fly... DEselect all events and it will work.

I used to be user of Cinestream. It has a nice feature where you can set the volume envelope on the run. Every change of audio slider create a point and set the volume accordingly to slider position. it might be a nice future feature of VV as well :)
