Markers

I am sure this question has a simple answer, but I just can't find it in the Vegas online help. After placing a marker, I want to be able to attach that marker to the clip on the timeline it is associated with. So, if i end up moving the clip around or it gets pushed forward or back the marker will still represent the location it was originally intended to mark. Right now, I am having to go back and move the marker if the clip is moved.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Markers will move when you use Ripple (if you have it set that way), but the only way have a media-specific marker is to create markers and save them with the media in the Trimmer.

Auto Ripple . .select the "Affected Tracks" this will only move the tracks events ands leave the Marker inposition. So, go Auto Ripple, drop down menu select "Affected Tracks" . .that'll do it!

Markers aren't associated with clips. If they were, how would it know which clip it belonged to when you have several tracks? Auto Ripple should help you though.

Thanks for your replies. I am turning auto ripple on and off at different times so need to be aware of that when a clip moves. Think I'll try the trimmer idea. Probably the real issue is my work flow. If I had that down better then this marker issue would probably go away.

Thanks again.
