Markers not being imported from file

Has anybody else come across this?

It has been a while since I have worked in DVD Arch. but in the past I would render an MPEG2 file in Vegas and have the options to add the Markers to the file checked. And when importing that file into DVD Arch., the markers would be there (allowing to make chapters out of them).

I have exported a MPEG2 file (.m2v) with the markers as well as a WAV file (again with markers) from Vegas 11, but when I bring either file into DVD Arch (5.2 Build133) - the markers are not there.

I have confirmed that the markers are in the wave file at least by opening it in Sound Forge, Vegas and even iZotope RX 2 (which supports markers).

So why cannot DVD Arch. see them?

Cheers,
Chris

Never mind.....

I guess markers are not stored with m2v files. Re-Encoding the file into an MPEG container - the markers appear in DVD Arch.

Chris

are you having to actually re-encode/re render just to get the markers??

i usually export to m2v so that would be a problem

The markers are stored in the .sfl (sidecare) files. Make sure that they are present in the same folder as the main files. Do not rename the stem of the file names either, because the name of the main file is stored inside the relevant .sfl file.
