Well .. kinda .. and just what would be your next step? Anyways this works for me - 2 approaches depending on just what you are wanting next:

#1 - Auto Ripple ensures Markers "move" with Event/s. You get to choose at what level of Auto Ripple you want. This only YOU know.

#2 - Set the Markers > Render out the Event/s to include the Markers > Bring Back Event into Project and the brown Marker positions are visible and now using the Scripting Tool and using the "Promote Media Markers" you can make them active/editable/movable again!

How useful #2 will be for you does depend on just exactly what you are wanting to achieve - yeah?

I do this all the time. Open the music media in the trimmer. Add your markers on the beat in the trimmer window and save them with the media (no need to render). The markers will now show up in the events on the timeline so you can sync them to timeline markers.

And to re-adjust them, on the Timeline? Use the Script? Yes/no? I can't get the script to make them adjustable without Rendering . . dear oh dear me . . I like synching with the assured "snap" and crack of a real lively Marker.

If you go back into the trimmer history you can move the markers there, no?

I never use the trimmer, so I didn't know that trick. That can be useful in other situations. I'll have to remember that. Thanks!

How do I say this? But not ON the Timeline. Through TrimHist, if that is where you want to adjust "away" from "other" video tracks where, understandably you may have visual media, you may wish to re-adjust Markers/Media and set other adjustments and also adjust the Markers too!!

Best regards,

Patryk Rebisz,

The markers should be embedded into the media itself as tiny little markers, not the full length project markers you normally see.

And there's the catch, you loose the labels and those little brown lines can be real hard to see.
