matching audio with slideshow

How do I match my music with the length of my slideshow by not cutting the music off but rather fading it out?

Grab the "fade handle" at the end of the audio event and drag it back to the left. See http://www.chienworks.com/media/dragfade.gif for an illustration. Of course, this picture shows the beginning of a video event, but the same thing applies for the end of an audio event too. You can also trim the end of the audio event to have the end of the fade come at the right time.
