Vegas Video has dual monitor support. It's listed in the specifications:
http://www.sonicfoundry.com/products/NewShowProduct.asp?PID=280&FeatureID=2685
and if you click on the link for dual monitor support, it takes you straight
to Matrox' graphics card page. I'm guessing this is an indication that
Sonic Foundry approves of the Matrox cards.

Since the various window panes in Vegas are "dockable", you can simply
drag the preview window over to your second monitor and stretch it out
as large as you wish. That's probably the simplest solution. There is
also an option to set your second monitor or an external monitor on a
firewire port to be the preview monitor.

The latest version of the drivers allow you to specify different resolution for the two monitors. I usually setup VV at 1280 x 1024, then drag the preview window over to the second monitor set at 640 x 480. I thought (after reading the VV marketing junk) that I could use the G450's second output as a TV type output. But the solution that I described above works ok for me. It's great to have the extra real estate!
