Max rez on importing pictures?

What is the MAX resolution of a picture that I can import into Vegas?
720X480....1600X1200 or anything?

I don’t believe there is a theoretical max but there is a practical max because the higher the resolution the more memory that gets consumed. I try and keep my images around 1600x1200, which gives me plenty of room to pan/scan and zoom.
