MaxiStudio ISIS and Veges Pro

I'm running vegas .. and have tried (and failed) to run it
with two audio cards. One card would slip up to almost a
second out of sync ..

So I'm looking at a multi track card for the solution.

Could anyone inform me of any luck they've had with Vegas
Pro and the MaxiStudio ISIS .. or indeed, any failures.

Cheers.

While Vegas allows you to use two different cards at the same time,
this is not recommended for exactly the reason that you are having
problems with. There are two reasons actually:

1. There is now way to start the cards at exactly the same time. Most
multiport cards have a sync start feature that permits the all the
ports on their cards to start together.

2. Different clocks. No two cards are going to have the exact same
clock rate. This will cause dift over time. There is a solution if
the hardware allows it: having a common clock that either both use or
one supplies the other. Even with a common clock, problem 1 above
will cause you problems.

If you need multiple i/o ports, you need to get a card that either
support multiple cards or a card that has multiple ports.
