have my betacam perform functions such as record through a remote....so i do not have to press record manually thus screwing up my timecode

my betacam has a built in time code generator....and my program must start at 00:56:05:00 exactly so i need to have my betacam record at exactly the same time as i out put it from my computer(from vegas4.0 through an ADVC-500)

Can't you just do a insert edit on your Beta deck? Then the TC should stay intact.
