Maybe Unusual Question?

I have a slideshow I am creating with over 500 pictures. Is there any way I can render a slideshow with the picture number (filename) located in the lower left-hand side of each picture for reference for final picture selection?

Can this be done with a script and does such a script exist?

Thanks,

TomG

If you have DVD-A it already does what you want automatically if you make a simple slide show.

I have DVD-A but I'm not sure how this would help. I'm trying to create a simple slide show of 450+ slides so that we can easily view the slides and then make a note of the slides we want to keep for the final production.

How would I create a simple slide show in DVD-A so that I can view each slide for about 4 seconds and also view the file name?

Thanks,

TomG

If you're not concerned about transitions or getting fancy you can make a slide show in DVD-A in about five minutes.

1. Select the files you want in DVD-A Explorer. Once the files are highlighted just drag and drop as a group in the work space.

2. You'll see the right portion of the work area get populated. At the lower bottom change the duration to the time you want each image to appear. If you do it while all the images are all still selcted as a group it will effect them all at once.

3.Scroll up to the top of the list. Highlight the first image, then just click Preview. They will all play in turn for the duration you set.

If there are images you don't want once you see them just right click on the list and select delete. If you want to change the order click on the image you want to move while holding down your left mouse drag in up or down in the list and let go. If you want one or more images to appear long or shorter you can change the duration for that image, just have it the one highlighted in the list when you do.

As you probably expected, you can do pretty much the same thing in Vegas and much more. If you go the Vegas route use preferences/options to change the length/ and cross-over which I think looks better. The downside is you can't easily add the file names in Vegas.

That certainly will do what I was looking for. Guess I could just prep the slide show and view it online. But you're right, the DVDA slideshow is verrrry basic. No transitions, no ability to put all (400) of the slide #'s in the lower right hand corner unless you move the object for each slide manually. While I have used DVDA, I have never used the slide show. Thanks BillyBoy!!!

Anyone else have any ideas on how to do this in V4?
