What do you mean by exposure slider? Is that an actual tool you have seen somewhere? There are several ways to correct for exposure in Vegas, but each does something slightly differently.
Look into Levels and Color Curves. Levels changes the input bright and dark points, to new bright and dark points and is very good changing the overall look of you video.

There is a Brightness/Contrast plug-in which may be closest to your Exposure slider, but most experienced Vegas users avoid that, because the output is too crude.

I think Offset and Lift are the same thing. They may work with subtle differences but I figure the intent is the same.

It's sure a bit of a shock to the system moving upto the higher end CC tools, even the way the widgets work can be a real head scratcher.

Busterkeaton: In Colorista there is a slider called exposure that corrects the exposure. Its just one button and does what an iris ring would do in camera. Its just very convinient and I'm used to it so I was wondering if vegas has it.

And Lift, Gamma and Gain in Colorista adjust the low, high and mid "levels" separately in Colorista. It seems in Vegas you have to use many plugins to achieve this. Im getting close to the results I want in Vegas. Just a bit of difficulties in getting the work to flow as it isnt as intuitive to me as Colorista. Im trying to avoid having to use After Effects with Colorista for my cc work and get it all done in Vegas. Anyone know of good color correction training videos for Vegas?
