Media Bin Use for Project Media

Does Vegas identify a media file in the Media Bin (or elsewhere) that has been used in the project? I ask this, as in an hour long project I have trouble keeping track of used pictures or small clips. I have tried renaming then in order, then crossing them out on a paper list, but it is easy to miss a file during the process. For example in Pinnicle ( Sony is my favorite), a checkmark is placed by the media file when it is used in the project to show the media file has been included. I cannot find a way in Vegas to keep track of used media files in a project. Any help, what is the best way?

Thank you in advance...

This is indeed a weak usability point for Vegas.

But there's a small workaround described in the thread here: http://hv20.com/showthread.php?t=18180

If you change the view in the media bin to list details it will show you how many time each clip has been used in the project. Its a little tricky though as it will say a video clip is used twice , once for the audio and once for the video.

In the detailed view of Bin, you can drag and move 'use count' header so that it sits right next to 'name'.

... and if you click the little lightning button up left in the project media window then VMS(P) will delete all not used media from the project media window.
