Media editing window doesn't open

Hello, I have a weird question, when I insert a effect from the generated media library, say the credit roll, the editing window to edit the text doesn't open up to let me edit it.
Can anybody help me with this?

Sounds like it got undocked or something and is off the screen (?). You might want to try resetting the program to factory defaults. Hold CTRL+SHIFT while starting Vegas and see if that helps. (This resets the program to factory settings). See if that helps.

It's possible the window is off-screen. Once you add the media, then follow this sequence:

Alt+Space
M
Use cursor keys <Left> or <Right> to move the window that may be offscreen
