Media explorer window won't refresh

I am am refreshing a folder appearing in the Explorer window to show subfolders I've added while working on a project. The Refresh button simply does nothing (I see the subfolder in Windows Explorer but it isn't available to me in MSM). Any trick for forcing this refresh?

Have you tried navigating out of the folder and then back in?

I tried that Steve. Even closed and reloaded. Nothing. Using Windows 8.1 with SMS 13.
