media generator rendering

Hi, I seem to be having some problems w/ the media generators in Vegas. I create the media generator (for instance, starry sky)...and when I render it out, it looks all retarded, I guess you could say. It doesn't look like stars anymore, it forms a bunch of lines. It's strange, because the preview shows it awesome, and then when I render, a bunch of stringy lines show up and messes it up. Is there some sort of setting I need to change? Or is this just how it is...? thanks for the help.

Not my choice/use of words "it looks all retarded" . . If I can I'll try and assist. But that's me ..

Yours sincerely

What are you rendering this as (DV, MPEG-1, etc)? If you are compressing the heck out of the frame data you'll lose resolution and fineer details, so you may need to make some tradeoffs either with the initial images or the compression.

I just realized that when the preview is on "preview" quality, it shows up incorrectly (even though sometimes better). I switched to good and saw how it was looking after the render. I was rendering to dv.
