Media Generator Video line doesn't' appear

I've done something and I don't know how to undo it. The media generators appear when editing, but when previewing, it's as if there are no media generators. They worked just fine until I enlarged the preview area to screen size. Then, they just disappeared (again, not on the editing line...just during preview).

I've read another post on a similar topic with dogs and kids, and the feedback was to check the mute button. The mute button on the video line that I'm concerned about is set correctly.

Any help? Oh please, oh please?

When you say "media generators", do you mean titles that you typed in to show over your video? If so, they have to be on a video track above your video and then your timeline cursor has to be before the titles, then play it, and everything should show up.

No. I'm referring to the media generators that are used as background and are on the video line just below the pictures, like solid colors, gradient colors, etc.

Make sure Mute & Solo aren't clicked on ANY of the tracks.

Do your pictures fill up the whole preview screen? That would cover up your generated media on the tracks below.

I'm thinkin'.....

I think I might have discovered the culprit. Apparently, you can insert a media generator that overrides everything else, which is exactly what I unknowingly did. There's a little fx icon and it was highlighted. I right-clicked, and deleted. Cleared it right up! Careful where you drag your fx's...
Thanks.
