Media generator - weird delay when I type?

Good day again...

I've saved a project and have been adding some 'media generators' for some text entries. (using the 'TEXT' template)
For some reason when I start typing the text there's this annoying, unpredictatbe delay before the text shows up.
I noticed that if I move the media generator box then the typing reveals itself.

I'm totally baffled?
Typing does fine in a .wrd file so it's only happening in the media generator box.?

EDIT: well....it seems this project (3 versions) is somehow corrupted with this issue.
Wish I could copy all events in timeline/music track/voice track into a new project.?
Is that possible?

Thanks to any who've kindly read this.

Yes it is possible copy all events into a new project. First open another instance of Movie Studio. Go back to the instance that contains your project and click in the timeline to give it focus, then Ctrl+A to select all of the events, then Ctrl+C to copy them to the clipboard. Go to the empty Movie Studio instance, set the cursor to 0 (or wherever you want it to start if you want to add an offset at the beginning), then Ctrl+V to paste everything into the timeline.

You'll want to use the same project properties as your original project as those settings are not copied. The markers don't come along, and I don't see a way to copy and paste them.

You can copy events on a specific track by selecting the first one and then choose Select Events to End from the context menu. Or use Shift+click to select a range.

You didn't mention what version you are using. I'm running Movie Studio Platinum 12. Some older MS versions didn't allow running more than one instance, you'll just have to try it and see.

Edit: added missing Ctrl+C (thanks Chienworks!)

Allegretto....

I'm running MS Platinum 9.0.
Will do some homework and report back.

Thank you very much for taking the time for such a thorough reply.

I'm sure most folks will do this without even thinking anyway, but there's a Ctrl+C missing after the Ctrl+A.

Thanks, I've edited the text above to include Ctrl+C.
