Media Manager

hey y'all, I've done a search on this, seems like I remember a lot of discussion a while back, but I can't find the threads. How do I "disable" the media manager? I removed it, but VV is looking for it on startup.

Options -> Preferences -> General tab. Third checkbox from the bottom.

If I recall correctly, Media Manager was introduced in Vegas 6.
