No, I don't believe so. It always does a sub-term search.

You could use term: bell -bells and it will remove "bells" from the search criteria (which would be "bell and not bells")

Yes, absolutely. Placing a minus sign in front of any word negates the word in the search. Don't add any quotes (which is why I placed that in bold) because quotes have meaning. They hold multiple words together. Just type: bell a space a minus sign and bells (no space between the minus sign and bells)

cut and paste this into your search:

bell -bells
