media manager, needs cleaning?

Am I missing something? I too was having the problem with media manager saving everything in my projects into it. I have turned off the check mark in the preferences that J.R. mentioned in the other post.

My question is there is now a bunch of media that I have deleted from my drives. It shows them with red diag lines thru them . That I expect because the files are off line, or no longer found.
But how do I delete them, do I have to choose them one at a time wait for the diag box that asks you what you want to do, for each one of them.
I treid rescanning the library, but they still are there, how do you clean house?
delete the whole library and start over?

The fastest way to "bulk remove" offline items from a media library:

1. Use Media Manager Options > Media Library tab and use the Update button. This will check each item in the media library against the actual file, updating the online/offline status, and re-sniffing the metadata properties for the file.

2. Using the advanced search pane, add the Offline search criteria, set it to true, and enable it. This will show only the offline files in the search results pane.

3. Select all the items in the search results pane and press delete (or use the context menu "remove from library" action).

Thanks that cleared the one I dont want. Ive saved that tip in my Vegas notes folder for when I forget how I did that.

One minor problem, after doing so I got this error:
Any clues?

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Are you using Vegas 6.0b when you get this error? That trace looks familiar and may have been resolved in the 6.0b update.

Also, can you provide any additional steps to reproduce? Can you make it happen easily? Or just the one time?
