I finally sat down and learned the Dmn thang... and wow...
wow...

Where have I been? This thing is awesome. It cuts my workflow time about 40%.

Our G5 Quads just came in with Final Cut studio and After Effects 7. But after learning media manager.... I feel like I have a new toy with my trustworthy PC and Vegas...

okay, that feeling will only last for a few weeks... but it still feels good.

I got it for approximately 2 months; learnt and recognised back THEN what it would mean for me; upgraded to V6C and . .POOOfff ! Gone!

That was from mid-Sept 05 till 2 months back. Now I use MM everyday.

I audition clips in MM; drag clips directly to TRIMMER; scrub WHAT I want > GRAB in trim and slap onto T/L > DONE!!

I can even DRAG clips into SteadyHand directly FROM MM!

Audition Audio is a spill and doing this WHILE watching an AUDITION of a clip is truly slippery and slick!!

Grouping/TAGGING by "drag 'n plop" is superb.

Silliness's? Oh yes and one that is galling, is that I'd like to have "Drag 'n Lasso/Select" over Thumbnails view too. We have it in the LIST VIEW - where we CAN'T see what I'm selecting - but NOT in the actual view THUMBNAILS VIEW where I CAN see what I'm looking at? That's odd? - If I've got this wrong, then someone tell me what to do.

Media Manager? Brill!
