Media markers to timeline markers?

I know Vegas has been able to display markers on the timeline that are embedded into media files for a long time now... and you can see the marker names and manipulate them in the Trimmer... but has anyone figured out how to promote these markers to the timeline?

Vegas 6.0c and 6.0d include a script to do just this - look at Tools|Scripting|Promote Media Markers.
