media pool

I suddenly can not view my media pool.......everything else works.
I have used this program for a couple of years. I am betting it is somthing really stupid......yes, I went to view, and chose it, also tried alt 5 its driving me crazy. Also some music I tried out and discarded from the time line plays when I click media pool, so I know its there some where.

It could be several places. That window can be "undocked" and moved. It can also be docked with other windows. Here's a couple of possibilities:

1) It's undocked and moved "off" the screen. To get it back, try changing screen resolutions to a higher resolution, locate the window, move it back to the main area, and then change the resolution back.

2) It's docked in an unexpected place. Just look for all the docking areas.

Worst case, hold down CTRL-SHIFT when starting Vegas, This resets it back to factory defaults. Unfortunately, it also resets all the settings you WANTED changed too.
