Media quality?

I gave 10 DVD (that were playing properly in my computer) to a client that haven´t been able to play anyone of them till the end. They all stop in the middle of the film.

The Mpeg 2 rate is 8 000.
The record velocity is 4x.
The type of DVD media is LOTUS (unknow type!!!)

What can be the problem.
I now strongly suspect the DVD media themselves.

And I bet its because you're using too high a bitrate. Failure towards the end of the disc is an indication the player can't keep up. Reduce the bitrate to 8 max, 6 average and try again.

Or they're just crappy media. I have some CompUsa no-names that can play the 1st 4GB on my computer but only the 1st 3GB on my Apex.
