MediaFX question

So, I downloaded the "Magic Bullet 2.0 for Editors" trial/demo. I right click on a clip in the timeline, I apply that filter, but the WHOLE timeline ends up getting that filter, not just the clip I told it too. Is this normal, or am I missing something?

It's adding the effect to the project media so it ignores splits and cuts.
To apply effect at event level left click click the event effects icon on the clip and add that way. I believe it's so you could color correct a whole clip for example and split and edit without losing the fx.

Thanks for the reply. This is pretty bad usability IMHO. The left/right click of a clip should only include options for that clip alone, and for the whole timeline, when you click on the control of that track.

I also see that as a bit of a usability inconsistency (it's improper context for the context menu).

The good news is, "Event FX..." is also available from that context menu, and the effect will only apply to the Event.

Of course you can simply drag-and-drop the effect onto the event, which is the easiest way to accomplish adding the effect.
