Wondering, ummm, would you care to share your source of information and some evidence of this? Making an unsupported statement like that is pretty irresponsible and misleading.

Wondering, i guess you haven't been around here much, but Sony Screenblast has been around for a long long time. Sony has been reselling Sonic Foundry software under their own name for quite a while. So have a few other companies. This has nothing to do with current developments.

Screenblast was a joint venture before this happened.
Why don't you check out the Acid forum where SonicEPM clearly states that the AC-3 encoder will work with the NEXT version of Vegas.
I bet you're the type to follow ambulances and fire engines.

Holy shit. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. Screenblast Soundforge??? Screenblast MoiveMaker?? aka Vegas for $69????? WTF! Notice in the product comparisons there is no mention of Premier or Final Cut?? It's Pinnacle and Boderbund. Either $69 is the deal of the century or the biggest sell out. Better buy CD Architech now before that dissapears into the ether. I feel cheap.

No, the Movie Studio is basically Video Factory + the chroma keyer plugin from Vegas. It is NOT Vegas. Over all, not a bad deal but not super special either.

Screenblast Moviemaker is VideoFactory (which also sells for $69), not Vegas. Screenblast SoundForge is Soundforge XP, not the full version. Screenblast ACID is ACID Music, not ACID pro. So don't hyperventilate too much now.

I own Acid Pro, SF6.0 and VV3 plus multiple loop libraries. I've had excellent service from SoFo everytime I've had to deal with them (not often). Do you think I find it funny that this is happening to them/me/you? NOT!
What's hilarious is reading these posts! People without a clue want to get their 2 cents in just so they can say later that they predicted it. The fact is we don't know diddly squat!
This is a user forum. Forum users can come here to speculate all they want. I'm allowed to respond to those posts. Whether by helping if I can, or expressing how I feel about the post. Sometimes, they're just too funny. Check out the guy with about 10 grand worth of software and 6000 music files in the Sound Forge forum. He's got all those high end apps, and doesn't know how to use them. He'd like some help to learn them, in exchange for one of the apps or something. Can you say PIRATED SOFTWARE??
So, basically yeah, some of these threads are funny to read.
