memory question

Hi , I use Vegas all the time and currently have 512 mb of RAM. I was thinking about getting another 512MB, but would it make that much of a difference? I have an athlon xp 2800, and I want to make sure that my render times are at their fastest. Would adding another stick of RAM help? Thanks for the help.

It would help in ram previews. That's it (and allow you to do some multitasking faster). That's it.

It will definitely help if you have a lot of still pictures or credit rolls, things that soak up memory during the render.
