Memory & Vista

I'm about to replace my ancient PC with a quad core system (Q6600), running VMSP8.0d on Vista 32. Question is, will a memory upgrade from 2Gb to 3Gb be worthwhile, in terms of a reduction in rendering time?

For rendering time, no, unless you are currently swapping. However, I would suggest you go to 3 GBs anyway, especially if you are using HD.

I upgraded to a new system myself, last month: the dell xps420, q6600, vista 32bit. This version of vista only recognises 3.25gb ram, so I opted for 3GB. I can confirm that this machine is very fast for rendering and I am very satisfied with it.
