Menu AVI

I have a short 6 sec AVI that I would like to play and loop in my main menu. If I play the AVI in Vegas or WMP, it loops perfectly. But when I place it as the background AVI for my main menu in DVD-A , it runs until the the end (6 secs) then stops...hesitates...and starts back. My question: How do you seamlessly loop a background avi in a menu?

I'm sure it is something I am looking over but..........I can't find it!

Thanks in advance.

You can't. There's always the chance of a pause when you do this. The best thing to do is try to establish the background A/V so that the impact of a potential pause is minimized.

If you have enough space on the DVD, repeat the clip yourself when you render (that is, copy the same clip 3 or 4 times on the timeline in Vegas). That way it's less likely that anyone will see the pause because they will have navigated away from the menu by then.

Thanks Scott....that thought had already crossed my mind but I thought maybe I was just missing something simple.

THanks again.

I just did a main menu with a 2 minute AVI background and it works great as a loop. However, instead of starting and ending with a hard frame i faded in and faded out. This made for a smooth restart and there is no delay between finish and restart.
